The house was a mansion, a place most people would love to own. Looking from the outside it looked like a lap of luxury home. Just goes to show, looks can give the wrong impression. What happens on the inside is what matters.
The house stood there in it's unfriendly manner, empty and foreboding with the moonlight leaving an eerie glow on the stone walls. The driveway looking like glass from an earlier rain fall.
I painted this picture of the lighthouse from my visit two years ago. I wanted something to remind me of my summer on the island.
